在上世纪50年代,西塔——沈阳一个以烧烤文化著称的活力区域,吸引了许多朝鲜商人来这里贸易和定居。随着和当地传统的融合,一种新的烧烤风格诞生了。面对寒冷的冬天,他们和当地人使用一种特别的泥土灶来烧烤,这种灶可以放炭火,不仅能挡风,还能给肉带来独特的烟熏味和焦香味。 随着朝鲜商人与当地人建立友谊,他们对烧烤肉的热爱与当地人喜爱的芝麻酱完美结合。偶然间,烤肉搭配芝麻酱迅速走红,形成了独特的泥炉烧烤,这种风味在沈阳广受欢迎。

In the early 1950s, Xita—a vibrant area in Shenyang known for its rich barbecue culture—became a hub for Cháoxiǎn Zú merchants who came to trade and settle. As Cháoxiǎn Zú and local traditions intertwined, a new barbecue style emerged. Facing the biting winter cold, the merchants and locals turned to a unique method for grilling: a clay stove specially crafted to hold charcoal. This stove not only shielded the fire from the wind but also imparted a distinct smoky, charred flavor to the meat as it grilled over the glowing coals. As Cháoxiǎn Zú began to forge friendships with the locals, their love for barbecue meat blended seamlessly with the community’s favorite sesame-based sauce. This pairing of grilled meat with the sesame dip became an instant hit, giving rise to what would become known as Clay Stove Barbeque, a distinctive Shenyang tradition renowned for its clay stove grilling and unforgettable harmony of flavors.

The Heart of Xita: Our Story
西塔的故事

Xita Laotaitai was founded over 20 years ago by a Cháoxiǎn Zú woman who fell in love with the vibrant area of Xita in Shenyang. Using her traditional marinade for meat, she began selling Cháoxiǎn Zú barbecue from a push cart. Renowned for her skill in cutting meat into perfect sizes for grilling and her strict selection of high-quality cuts, she crafted dishes that delighted her customers. Alongside her local husband, they developed a secret sesame dipping sauce that quickly gained popularity among the locals. As her push cart became packed with customers, the locals affectionately began calling her “Xita Laotaitai,” meaning “Old Lady of Xita.” This name, born out of respect and endearment, reflects the deep connection she forged with the community. Her success not only drew crowds but also benefited other merchants selling various goods in the area, paving the way for the beloved brand we cherish today.

西塔老太太成立于20多年前,创始人是一位爱上西塔的朝鲜族女子。她用传统的腌制方法,从一辆推车开始售卖烧烤。因其将肉切割成适合烧烤的大小,并严格挑选高质量的肉,顾客们都非常喜欢她的菜肴。她和当地丈夫共同开发的芝麻酱迅速在当地人中受欢迎。 随着她的推车顾客越来越多,当地人亲切地称呼她为“西塔老太太”,这个名字体现了大家对她的尊敬。她的成功吸引了更多人来,也让其他商家受益,奠定了我们如今珍视的品牌基础。

Thanks to her popularity among locals and travelers visiting Shenyang, she eventually transitioned from a push cart to a restaurant to accommodate more customers and provide a memorable dining experience. To further engage with her patrons, she began showcasing her cultural heritage by performing traditional Korean dances in the restaurant. Her joyful spirit and enthusiastic interactions transformed dining into a delightful experience for everyone. Today, she is celebrated as a living legend in Shenyang’s Xita barbecue scene.

由于她在当地人和游客中的人气,她最终从推车转型为餐厅,以便为更多顾客提供服务。 为了与顾客更好地互动,她开始在餐厅中表演传统的韩朝舞蹈,展示她的文化。她快乐的精神和热情的互动让每位顾客都能享受到愉快的就餐体验。今天,她被视为沈阳西塔烧烤界的传奇人物。
